2nd Annual Spina Bifida Benefit Bash
Planning is under way for the second Annual Spina Bifida Benefit Bash on Saturday, October 24, 2009, 8pm-midnight, at Bridgemen's Hall in Northeast Philadelphia. This year's event is sponsored by SB Genetics. Please go to their website to enroll in an important Spina Bifida Research Project.
The committee is organizing a fun and exciting event. The menu will include baked ziti and roast beef prepared by the Bridgemen’s Hall’s exclusive caterer, Isabella. Beer, wine and soft drinks are included, and a cash bar is available, as well. There will be chicken fingers and French fries available for any kids who may attend.
Tickets are $30/person and $15/children 12 and under. We have planned several special incentives to encourage advanced ticket sales. Everyone who purchases tickets before the event will be entered into an exclusive drawing for a valuable door prize. Also, advanced sales of 8—10 people can reserve a table of their own.
Come out, enjoy the evening, and support SBADV!
Bridgemen’s Hall is conveniently located near US Route 1, the PA Turnpike, and I-95. It is the classy ballroom of the Ironworker’s Union Local 401, 11600 Norcom Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154. Casino Night and last year's benefit was held there, and everyone enjoyed the accessibility of the space.
This year’s entertainment will be supplied by Tubetop Mama, a local cover band specializing in a wide variety of classic and alternative rock from the 60’s (Beatles, Rolling Stones) to the present (3 Doors Down, Finger Eleven). Styles include southern rock (Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hachett), Metal (Kiss, Judas Priest), 80’s rock (Loverboy, Tom Petty), Blues (Stevie Ray Vaughn), 90’s alternative (Pearl Jam, Green Day, Matchbox 20), and the list goes on. Tubetop Mama plays 2-3 gigs per month throughout Montgomery, Bucks and Chester counties and has a local following. |
